CLASS 1: SPINNING – SPIN YOUR WAY TO HEALTH!

What is a “Spinning Class” Anyway?

It is a cycling class where you get to sweat it out with your friends, workout buddy’s, community group or family. It is a great workout in a class environment where there is a sense of team effort and group motivation. When you’re by yourself it’s hard to truly push yourself as there is no one there to keep you accountable. But if you’re in a class then you have the other participants, as well as the teacher, constantly watching over you which will give you more drive and motivation.

What You Can Expect From a Spinning Class!

A 40 minute Spin class can burn anywhere from 400-600 calories depending on the intensity of the instructor and the amount that you push yourself. It relies on a combination of fast-paced cycling and strategic lighter rest intervals to get you recovered for the next burst. You can burn up to 1000 calories at a 1 hour long class.

The average class will begin at a gentle pace for 5-10 minutes. The pace will gradually pick up throughout this period but it will stay similar to cycling on flat terrain. After this period you will enter into different intervals of seated and standing work dependent on the intensity.

Spinning Class will help you get healthier by improving your VO2 Max while reducing your fat mass. Each class you complete will be one step forwards to reaching your healthier you goal.

It’s an amazing, challenging way to get incredibly fit. You will most likely become addicted. 😉

CLASS 2: BODY PUMP – BUILD LEAN MUSCLES WHILE BURNING FAT!

What is a “Body Pump Class”?

Body Pump is an invigorating barbell workout that exercises all the major muscle groups for a more toned, fitter and healthier you.

Body Pump classes use weight-room exercises like squats, lifts and curls to give your legs, arms and upper body a complete workout.

What You Can Expect From a Body Pump Workout Class!

After a gentle warm-up, you exercise to the rhythm of the music toning your quads, shoulders, chest, back and abdominals while also burning away those calories before a down-tempo cool-down to stretch your muscles and reduce the chance of injury.

With Body Pump you’ll see real results fast. The simple but effective body pump workout is suitable for all ages. It increases your strength and endurance, improves your body’s fat burning ability and gives you great muscle tone.

Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own!

You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. Don’t be surprised if you get hooked on Body Pump for life.

WHICH CLASS SHOULD I TAKE?

The Spin Bike has a limit of 350lbs, so if you are heavier than this it is best you stick to the Body Pump classes and get your weight down so you can join the spin class.

If you are less than 350lbs and want to speed up your fat burning results, then taking both will be your best option. We recommend you take the Body Pump Class Monday, Wednesday, Friday and do the Spinning Class on Tuesday & Thursday. This way you get to build a lean sexy physique three times a week and get a good Cardio in-between with Spinning.  

HOW MUCH IS IT PER CLASS?

The average cost per class in the USA is around $15 for one class. That means every time you go to a class, you pay $15. The average monthly fee for a 3 day a week class is $180 per month. A two day a week class is $120 per month. Remember, this is average, so some areas charge way more than this. The lowest cost per class in the USA is $10 per class.

Don’t worry, you will not pay close to this much with SSY Fitness. We want to help you on your journey and achieve our mission of reversing obesity among our people. If we could’ve offered it for free, we would’ve but we have to pay the rent, the equipment, the utilities, the workers, and make a little extra to feed our six kids… Oh and they eat a lot…lol… (love those kids)

Okay, just to give you an idea of how much the current classes and gym fees are here locally, here they are:

Classes like Zumba, Yoga and others (2x per week) = $20 per month or $5 per class
Water Aerobics (3x per week) = $45 per month or $5 to $6 per class
Gym Fees = $45 to $60 per month or $5 – $6 per day

We’ll be offering our classes at a very competitive rate similar to the current local rates. Remember, we have BRAND NEW equipment, and a nice facility for you and your family to enjoy. The rent is quite high so we have to make enough to keep the lights on.

(The per class cost is $5 per class so it’s much cheaper if you buy the monthly package below than to pay $5 every time you come to a class.)
